• Winter (Oct–May): Brutal cold down to –60°C, avalanche risk.

Itinerary Highlights

• Gasherbrum II expedition can be done in 45 to 50 days
• Day 1–3: Arrival in Islamabad, flight to Skardu, sightseeing & preparation.
• Day 4–12: Trek from Askole through Baltoro Glacier to Concordia.
• Day 13: Arrival at Gasherbrum Base Camp (5000m).
• Day 14–52: Climbing & acclimatization period on Gasherbrum II.
• Day 53–57: Descent via Baltoro Glacier or over the Gondogoro la back to Skardu.
• Day 58–60: Return to Islamabad, sightseeing, and departure.
